Ding entered the
electrical engineering graduate program at Penn State in the fall of 2010 in the
pursuit of a doctorate. Previously, Ding was a student at Peking
University, China, and completed a B.S. (2010) in Electronics Engineering and Computer Science. He is currently working on ultrafast fiber laser development
which may develop into his dissertation topic. When Ding gets a break from
classes and research, he enjoys reading a good investigative novel and staying
active by playing basketball or hiking.
